Plavba po rieke --- The boattrip

Ahojte! Tak konecne tu mame vikend. Na ranajky som po prvy krat vyskusal makrely. Celkom je to jedle. Potom ze sa idem ucit slovicka, no Atle za mnou prisiel, ze ci nechcem ist raftovat. Nakolko vodu moc nemusim som sa spytal ze ci to vazne. Nakoniec som z neho dostal, ze to bude len splav rieky a ziadny rafting na divokych perejach:-) Uf. Tak sme nalozili cln. Jon nas odviezol asi 10 km na sever, kde nas vysadil. A tak sme asi hodinu a pol isli po prude, az kym sme nepristali pri dome. Atle tuto cestu uz mnohokrat absolvoval, takze to bolo v pohode. Akurat na konci sme sa na krizovatke nechali uniest prudom a pristali sme trocha inde, ale hlavne ze sme pristali. Vysadli sme z clna, zobrali ho a sli domov. Po vynikajucich spagetach ( inac vcera bolo na middag to najlepsie kura ake som v zivote jedol, prepac mami) som si trocha odddychol, nasadol na bicykel a vydal sa na golf. Nenavidim to pomale, dlhe stupanie do kopca, ale vidina golfu vzdy zvitazi :-) Tak som asi hodinku potrenoval a vratil sa domov. Vsetci su zatial prec, tak mam dom sam pre seba. Asi si este dam nejaku zmrzlinu a pojdem spat. God natt!

Hi! So we have a weekend eventually. I tried the macrelas for the first time. It is quite edible.Then I was learning some norwegian words and Atle came asking whether I want to try rafting. As I do not like water very much I asked him if he is serious. After a few quesions I found out, that is just paddling down the river current. Uff :-) I waas thinking of something scarrier. Jon took as 10 km to the north by the river where we set off for the journey. After hour and a half we landed near our house.Atle took part on this trip many times so it went without any serious problems. Only at the end we landed a bit further than we wanted to because of the current. We get off the boat and took it home. After the delicious spaghetti I rested a bit and then got on the bike and drove to the golf course. I hate going long and slowly uphill but the desire to be there and practice always wins:-). So I practiced for maybe an hour and returned back home. Everybody is away at the moment so the house is mine. Maybe I will eat a bit of ice cream and go to sleep. God natt!

Atleho novy bicykel, ktory je na rok moj. DBS v preklade znamena Najlepsi bicykel. Zvykli sa vyrabat v Norsku, no teraz su uz niekde inde. Krajsi na svete niet :-)

Atles new bike which is mine for a year. DBS is an abbreviation for The best bycicle. They used to be produced in Norway but not anymore. There is no bike more beautiful than this one :-)

Pohoda, klidek a tabacek

Dnes sa mi zacinala skola az o 9:30. Takze som sa fajn vyspal a s poriadnou svalovicou zo vcera isiel na moju prvu hodinu sociologie. Vyzera to byt celkom fajn. Potom som isiel na chemiu. Vsetci tam boli len ti, co sa na chemiu specializovali, tak som sa po hodine isiel spytat na moj rozvrh, ze ci by mi tam nemali este nieco vyskrtnut... Tak mi chemiu vyskrtli a kedze som si zvolil nizsiu uroven z matiky, mam ju len utorky. Z toho vyplyva, ze som mohol ist domov:-) A to znamena ze vo stvrtok mam v rozvrhu iba sociologiu, takze v skole som od 9:30 do 11:15 :-))))))))))) Tymto chcem pozdravit mojich pravidelnych pisatelov komentarov lenku l. a peta p., ale aj zvysok mojej triedy, ktora bude mat buduci rok najviac hodin za tyzden a bude sa musiet ucit veeeeela a veeeeeela predmetov. Budem na vas mysliet. Jaj, tu je to uz skoro ako na vysokej. Milujem norsky skolsky system
Tak som prisiel domov, skoro som uz dorazil bryndzu a pustil sa do ucenia norstiny a sociologie. A to robim doteraz s mensimi prestavkami, takze uz asi pojdem spat

My school started today at 9:30, so I slept quite weel and then I went with my aching muscles to the first lesson of sociology. It looks quite fine. Then I had chemistry, but all the people there were the ones, who chose chemistry as a subject they want to study. So after the lesson I went to ask about my lessons schedule, if they should not cross it out. And they crossed it out and math on Thursdays as well, so I could go home. That means : on Thursdays I am at school for only one and a half hour:-))))))) I love norwegian school system.
So I came home, almost finished the bryndza cheese and started learning norwegian and sociology with small breaks. And I am doing it still now, so I think I will go to sleep.

Streda - den na zomretie --- Wednesday - a day for dying

Hei igjen! Vcerajsia streda bola teda dost dlha. Prakticky som sa zastavil az o 21:00. Skola do 15:50. Az do 12:00 sme mali anglictinu. Nasa anglictinarka pochadza z Portugalska a vyzera to tak, ze svoj predmet ovlada dobre. Ja som ocenil taku komunikacnu hru. Aspon som mohol spoznat mena vacsiny ludi z triedy. Dostavali sme zadarmo zeleninovu polievku na obed. Nebola to ziadna slava oproti slovenskym polievkam, ale bola celkom chutna. Po obede sme mali dvojhodinovku dejepisu. Ucitel rozpraval skoro cele dve hodiny v kuse. Nakolko som mu vela toho nerozumel, skoro som zaspal. Mali sme tam nejake clanky o norskom zradcovi pocas WWII. Potom sme sa konecne dostali na vzduch a cakal nas Kroppsøving, cize telesna. To som este nevedel co ma tam caka. Ziadna rozcvicka ako u nas len aby sa od riti odvalilo:-). Preco sa nerozklusat na dobre 4 km na okraj mesta a spat. Aspon ze som sa mohol po ceste rozpravat s Erlandom a Linusom. Bezat sam ma nebavi. Potom sme zahrali ultimate frisbee, cize nieco ako rugby len s lietajucim tanierom. Hoci telesna koncila az o 30 minut, mohli sme uz ist domov. Je to tu nejake take volne... Tak som si dal ruksak na chrbat, novy pozicany notebook cez plece, igelitku s telesnou na riaditko a takto nalozeny na bicykli domov. Sprcha , middag ( Nori nemavaju teply obed, nieco teple sa zvykne jest az na veceru ) a sup na golfovy trening. Trener Frode s nami prebral putting. Nastastie, lebo to co sme predvadzali pri minulej hre na greene bolo hrozne. Uz to teraz iba spravne trenovat a bude to fajn. Z golfu na bicykli domov, zobrat rakety a ist na kurt. Jonov bratranec Per nehral uz asi tri roky. Kedysi sa zvyklo hravat na vsekych troch kurtoch, ale potom vsetci tenisti zacali s golfom, takze to na kurtoch vyzera tak ako vyzera. Ano, to zelene vzadu na druhej fotke je este kurt. :-)Sak je to na fotkach. Na to, ze Per ma uz cez 50 a tenis sa naucil hrat sam, mu to islo celkom dobre. Na buduci tyzden ideme znovu. Konecne som dosiel domov, dostal od domacej zmrzlinu a zalahol spat...

Hei igjen! Yesterday was quite long. I actually stopped first at 21:00. The school until 15:50. We had english lessons the whole morning. Our english teacher comes from Portugal and she looks to know her subject quite well. I appreciated the communication game, because I got to know almost every student in the class. We had a free soup for lunch. Quite good. After that history lesson stood on the schedule. We were reading about some norwegian traitor during the WWII. The teacher was speaking norwegian for maybe an hour so I almost fell asleep. After that came Kroppsøving - physical education. From home I am used to just a quick warm - up and then playing whatever we want to. Well, here is the warm -up 4 km of running outside the town and back. At least I could talk to Erland and Linus while jogging. It would be boring to jog alone. Then we played ultimate frisbee and we could go home. So I took my new hired notebook, plastic bag with clothes for PE, rucksack and went on the bycicle back home. Shower, middag ( the Norwegians usually eat some warm food in the evening ) and lets go to golf practice. Head pro Frode learned us how to putt better. Now just practice it correctly and we will putt like Tiger :-) Then back home for tennis rackets and straight to the tennis court. Jons cousin Per has not been playing for more than 3 years. The three tennis courts used to be quite full but then sudenly everybody started to play golf. So the courts are now in the desolate condition. Only one we can play on. After the match back home, I have got an ice cream from my hostmum and fell asleep

Eva aj Linus mi povedali, ze nemozem cakat, ze ludia sa mi tu hned hodia okolo krku, ked ma spoznaju. Tunajsi ziju v takej dost uzavretej spolocnosti a radsej sa drzia starych znamych ako spoznavaju novych ludi. To som troska pocitil aj v skole, kde dostat z niektorych spoluziakov viac ako vetu bol uspech. Minuly rok mali v triede nejake dievca zo Svajciarska a zacali sa s nou rozpravat asi az po 2 mesiacoch. Tak to som este dobre skoncil. Uvidime, ako sa to tu vsetko bude vyvijat...

Both Eva and Linus have told me, that I should not expect people hugging me when they meet me. The people here live in such a closed community and they rather stick out to their old friends rather than meeting new people. I felt it at school a bit. More than one-sentence answer was a success. I will try to do my best and will see how things go...

Utorok 21.8. 2007 --- Tuesday 21.8.2007

Dalsi skolsky den uspesne za mnou. Dobre spravy. Na nemcine mame ucitela z Nemecka, ktory chce s nami hovorit iba po nemecky. Rozhodne bude lepsi ako Freitag:-))) Aj ked zase aj Freitagova na zaciatku neposobila az tak zle. A rozumiem z jeho nostiny viac ako z norstiny domacich. Taktiez dostanem od skoly pozicany notebook. Dostava ho tu skoro kazdy student. Na konci roka im ho vratim a oni mi daju spat zalohu. Skola skoncila opat o 12:00, tak som si to rovno stadial namieril na golf. Po vcerajsich mizernych vykonoch som si musel troska zatrenovat. A navyse som si tam v bagu zabudol penazenku, takze by som aj tak mal dobru vyhovorku ;-). Prisiel tam Linus. HCP 18,0. Novy spoluziak, stvrt Nor, stvrt Sved, pol Thajcan, syn asi jedneho z veducich klubu. Tiez chodi na treningy. Tak sme zahrali dve jamky z velkeho ihriska, lebo sa potreboval zahriat pred turnajovym zapasom. Ihrisko je kopcovite, no nie az tak narocne. Pokial to neodpalis do lesa alebou roughu.

Po golfe som sa vratil domov a pustil sa do mojej kazdodennej rutiny ucenia sa norstiny. Nic ine mi uz neostava...

Next school day succesfully behind me. Good news. We have got a native german teacher. He looks to be fine. And I understood more of his Norwegian than when native Norwegians speak.

I will also get a hired laptop from the school. Almost every student gets it. And they will give me the money back, when I return it. The school ended again at 12:00 so I headed directly to the golf course. After yesterdays mierable play I needed to practice. Linus came as well. New classmate. HCP 18,0. Quarter Swede, quarter Norwegian, half Thai. We played two holes from the big course. He needed to warm up before his match starts. The course is not so difficult but you have to be straight. After the golf I went home and resumed doing my everyday routine - learning the language. There is no other option...

Prvy skolsky den --- The first schoolday

Prvy skolsky den sa mi zacinal o 10:00. Celkom dobre som sa vyspal, na ranajky som do seba nacpal dalsi kusok bryndze. Trvalo mi to trocha dlhsie, ako som cakal, takze do skoly na bicykli som upaloval. Nastastie som to stihol. Bol som zaradeny do triedy 2sta , co je trieda so vseobecnym zameranim. Nas triedny Leif nam rozdal rozvrh hodin, skolsky poriadok a este niekolko dalsich papierov. Potom mi este vysvetlil o com rozpraval, upravil mi rozvrh podla mojho zamerania a mohol som ist domov. Je to tu super, ze clovek sa nemusi ucit vsetko. Napriklad mam len jednu chemiu, neviem ci vobec nejaku fyziku a matiku lahsiu uroven. Zato som si zvolil sociologiu a mohol som si vybrat medzi ekonomiou a francuzstinou, takze radsej francuzstina. Kazdopadne mam aj dost casu na oddych. V pondelok sme este isli na golfovy trening s protrenerom. Zahrali sme sedem kratkych jamiek, ktore su vsak narocne a vo vybornom stave. V stredu mame dalsi trening. Bolo nas asi sest. Uvidime, kolko pride nabuduce. A to je tak z pondelka vsetko.

First school day began at 10:00. I slept quite good and I had for breakfast another piece of bryndza cheese. It too me longer than I expected so I was quite in a hurry Fortunately I made it on time. I was put in the class 2sta. That is class directed at everything and prepares the students for further studies at the university. Our classteacher Leif handed to us the lesson schedule, some other papers and we could go home. Then he told me what was he talking about and adjusted my school schedule according to my needs. It is good, that I do not need to learn evrything. For example I have only one lesson of chemistry, lower level of math and I think not even one lesson of physics. I picked up sociology and I could choose between French and economy, so I rather picked up French. But I have enough of leisure time and that is good. After the school I went to the golf training with the head pro and six other kids. We played 7 short holes. They are in great condition and quite demanding. We will have next practice on wednesday. And that is everything what happened on Monday.

Tu len pridavam nejake fotky domu. Nadherny a pritom ziadny prepych. Vnutri je to vsetko drevene okrem kuchyne a kupelne. V pondelok som zistil, ze pod nami je este jedna rodina. Den predtym som sa pozrel z okna a videl, ze sa na nasej trampoline hraju tri male deti. Tak som hned bezal za Atlem ci je to v poriadku a ten mi to uz vysvetlil:-)...

Here are some photos of the house. Beautiful but not luxurious at the same. Interior is completely wooden except the bathroom and kitchen room. On Monday I found out, that there is a family living below us. One day before I had looked out the window and saw 3 children playing on the trampoline in front of our house, so he had to explain me the situation:-)...

Mozno aj kvoli bolestiam hlavy som vstal az 10:10. Na ranajky som opat zlikvidoval kusok bryndze. Este ma co robit... Povysaval som horne poschodie. Viete, ze oni len zapoja ruru do takej diery v stene a ta nasata spina ide cez steny potrubim do nejakeho kontajnera? A ja som hladal, kde nechali vysavac;-) S Evou sme zobrali bicykle a isli pozriet ku skole a stadial na oslavu narodenin Jonovho brata Toreho. Mali styri vynikajuce kolace. Ked som ochutnal z kazdeho kusok, mal som dost. Uf uf. Inak sa tam ale vsetci bavili po norsky, takze som im bohuzial vela nerozumel a nemohol sa zapojit do debaty. Stale chytam len nejake slovicka, malokedy cele vety. Ale snazim sa povedat to co viem, po norsky. Teraz tu pisem tento blog. Vecer ideme na The Simpsons. Malo by to byt s norskymi titulkami, ale ak je to nadabovane, tak som skoncil:-) No a zajtra do skoly. Ozvem sa buduci vikend.

Maybe because of the headache I got up first at 10:10. I had a bit of bryndza cheese for breakfast but there is still lot of it left... I hoovered the upper floor. Do you know, that they just stick the tube into the hole in the wall and all the dust goes through the walls in the bin? And I was looking for the rest of the hoover:-) We got on the bicycles with Eva and rode to school and then on Jons brother Tores birthday party. They had four delicious cakes. When I ate piece from everything I was full. Uf uf. They were all speaking norwegian so I did not understand very much and could not join the debate. I am still catching only a few words, rarely whole sentences.. But I try to speak norwegian as much as I can. Now I am writing the blog for you and in the evening we are going out to see The Simpsons movie. There should be norwegian subtitles. If it is dubbed, that will be a problem:-) Tomorrow starts the school year. I will be back next weekend with more reports

Dalsi den---The next day

Sobota bola super. Rano sme sli vybrat Atlemu bycikel k Jonovmu bratrancovi. Ma super vybaveny obchod, vsetko, co cyklista potrebuje. Vybrali sme krasny cierny bycikel, ktory nam pride v pondelok. A viete co je na tom najlepsie? Ze pocas nasledujuceho roka je moj:-)))
Nasledne sme skocili na kurty, lebo som sa na ne vypytoval. Maju tri kurty, z toho z dvoch rasi trava a kriky a ten treti tiez nie je v najlepsom stave, ale dalo by sa na nom hrat. Hadam sa tam niekedy dostanem.
Na obed Eva spravila vynikajuci kyllingsalat (kuraci) s hubami, kapustou a ananasom. Potom sme sli pozriet na golf:-) Vyzera to byt celkom pekne. Zrejme bude treba mat presne strely na green. Fairway vyzeraju byt naklonene. Vsetko je umiestnene v lese. Nadhera. Uz sa tesim, ked si pojdem zahrat. Mam uz vybavene clenstvo, takze hra zadarmo, v pondelok a stredy trenujem spolu s ostatnymi pod vedenim head pro:-))) Dufam, ze mi pomoze este vychytat nejake muchy v mojom svihu. Odpalili sme si s Atlem jeden kosik, zasli na putting a chipping green a isli domov. Na veceru sme mali grilovane veci. Mnam. Pølser og kjøtt med poteter og lomper. Parky a maso so zemiakmi na smotane a loksami. Hoci to boli len balene a nezohriate na oleji, bol som prekvapeny, ze tu take maju.
Vecer sme s Evou isli na koncert jedneho norskeho kvarteta. Hlavny spevak pochadza z Trysilu, a tak sa sem rozhodol zavitat. Boli vynikajuci. Spievali veci od Queenu, ABBY a mnohe piesne z muzikalov. Najlepsie na tom bolo, ze to aj hrali, takze keby mali aj kostymi, bol by to uplny muzikal. Cestou k autu sme sa porozpravali s jednym norskym parom, ktory bol v lete v Trencianskych Tepliciach a isli sme domov. Dlho som uz nevydrzal a s jemnymi bolestami havy som zaspal.

Saturday was great. In the morning we went to the Jons cousin to pick up a bike for Atle. He has got a very well equipped shop with everything you might need for cycling. We picked up a nice black bike. And do you know what is the best about it? That it is mine for the upcoming school year:-) After that we went to the tenniscourts, because I was asking about them. Well, they have three in Trysil. Two of them are covered with growing grass and bushes. The last one is not in a great condition but at least it can be played on.
Eva prepared for the lunch a great kyllingsalat (chicken salad) with mushrooms, pineapple and cabbage. Then we went on the golf course. It looks to be very nice. Precise shots on greens, fairways leaning to the side. I am looking forward to the day I can play on it. Everything is placed in the forest. Beauty. I have already got a membership - green fees for free and I can practice with other boys and girls with head pro every monday and wednesday:-) I hope he will help me to improve my swing a bit. We spent some time with Atle on driving range, chipping and putting green and went home. We had grilled sausages and steaks for the dinner. Yammi.:-)
Then I went with Eva to the concert of four singers - 2 males and 2 females. They were great. Singing songs from ABBA, Queen and many musical songs. The best thing was, that they were acting. Exactly like in musicals. On the way back to car we were talking with a norwegian pair, who were in Trencianske Teplice in Slovakia this summer. I fell asleep with small headaches...

Fredag 17.8. 2007

Takze v piatok bolo vela vybavovaciek. S Hilde a Atlem sme behali po meste. Najprv do skoly, kde som sa stretol so studentskym poradcom, ktory mi povedal co a ako. Hilde mi poukazovala skolu. Rozhodne mensia ako nasa prievidzska. Celkom pekne zariadena, aj ked som triedy este nevidel. Potom sme sli do banky, kde som si chcel zalozit ucet. Musim vsak pockat este tyzden, kym dostanem norske osobne cislo. Po banke ma cakala pobocka Telenoru, kde som dostal novu SIM kartu s cislom. Nasledne sme isli kupit nejake kolace a pitie a sli sme pozriet Hildinho priatela, ktory teraz pracuje na stavbe apartmanov pri vlekoch, ktore ste uz videli. Skoro sme zabudli vziat Yatzie, ked sme odchadzali:-) Z tadial sme isli pozriet mamu Evu, ktora pracuje nedaleko na centrale rezortu. Chvilku sme tam pri cajiku pobudli a potom sme sa vratili domov.

A mohol som sa pustit do halusiek. Cakal som, ze mi to zabere taku pol hodinu, ale mal som dost stazene podmienky :-) Nemali haluskopretlacac, co som aj ocakaval, a zistil som, ze robit kazdu halusku manualne je nekonecne dlhe. A potom ich este vyberat so sitkom na caj, lebo vacsie sitko bolo prilis velke, to zaklincovalo. No nejako som to zvladol. Halusky im celkom chutili, aj ked sa mi nezdali nimi nejak celkom uneseny. Potom sme este pozreli DVD o Bojniciach a hornej Nitre a sli sme spat.

The friday was quite busy. Me, Hilde and Atle were driving through the town. Firstly I went to my new school, where I met the student advisor, who told me everything I needed. Hilde showed me around the school. Quite nice, eventhough I did not see the classrooms. It is definitely smaller than mine in Prievidza. Then we went to the bank, where I wanted to set up an account. Unfortunately I have to wait until next week, when I recieve Norwegian personal number. Then we went to the Telenor office, where I got a new SIM card and number. After that we bought some cakes and beverages and went to see Hildes boyfriend, who is building one of the apartments near the lifts. We almost forgot Yatzie, when we were leaving:-) Then we visited my hostmum Eva, who is working at the resorts central. We spent there some time chatting over the tea and eventually went home.

And I could start preparing bryndzove halusky:-) I expected it to take me only 30 minutes but I has difficult conditions. Making every haluska manually and taking them out of the boiling water with a tea sieve is not something I am used to:-) But I managed it at last and could serve them. They liked it but I can not say they were excited about it.

Then we watched the DVDs about Bojnice and Upper Nitra and went to bed

Co si myslite ze je to zelene na prvom obrazku?
No ano, je to strecha. A ti, co im este travicka na streche nerastie, ju uz aspon maju vysypanu hlinou. Prave sa divate na komplex chatiek blizko vlekov, ktore si tu ludia davaju stavat. Jednu z nich vlastni aj Schumacher. Tychto domov su tu desiatky. A v krasnej prirode. Raz ked budem stary sa sem prestahujem... Nieco pre teba oci.

What do you think is the green thing in the first picture? Yes, it is a roof. aAnd those people, who do not have the grass growing above their heads yet, have at least the soil on the roof and must wait. You are just looking at the place nearby lifts, where people build their cottages. One of them is owned by Schumacher. There is about two hundred of them. And in a beatiful nature. When I am old I will move here...

Toto je moja izba, ktoru som na rok prebral od hostsestry Hildy. Mala ale utulna. Najlepsia je ta roleta vzadu. Lepsie a dlhsie sa spinka...:-)

This is my room, which is mine for the upcoming year because my hostsister is leaving. Small but comfortable. The best thing in it is the black sun blocker. You can sleep longer and better...:-)

Rieka tecuca cez Trysil - Trysilelva. Myslel som si, ze to bude len nejaka horska bystrina, ale je to siroka rieka s mnohymi ostrovmi uprostred. Ludia k nej radi chodia pocas leta a opekaju a spievaju.

The river flooding through the Trysil - Trysilelva. I thought it will be only some small mountain river ut it is quite a big river with many islands in the middle. People here love going on the bank during the summer where they eat and sing

Hjemme hos familien Nordnes

Ahojte!
Tak sa opat hlasim. Stastne som doletel do Osla vo stvrtok o 21:30. Cesta bola v pohode, az na 3hodinove cakanie v Prahe. Batozina dosla OK. Bryndza aj vino to prezili. Na letisku ma cakali Eva s Atlem. Cela rodina hovori po anglicky, takze nie je ziadny problem sa dorozumiet. Zatial s nimi vychadzam vyborne. Su to vazne mili ludia. A este som zabudol na psa Yatzieho. Vlastne fenku. Cely den beha ako zdivena a potom, ked vecer pozerame televizor, vyvali sa pod stol a oddychuje v najbizarnejsich polohach:-) Normalne tak tam dlho lezala, ze som si myslel, ze jej je zle.
Cesta do Trysilu zabrala asi 2 hodiny. Je to krasne turisticke mesto, skoro ziadna premavka. Najblizsie mesto Elverum na juhu je vzdialene asi 70 km. Medzi nim a Trysilom nic, iba les. Pripomina mi to tie severoamericke mestecka z filmov. Domceky su vacsinou stavane z dreva. Cestou sem sa mi podarilo zahliadnut aj soba:-) Je ich tu hrozne vela, a to je aj problem. Kusok po tom, co sme presli tou cestou, tam ze vraj jeden ujo narazil do soba a zomrel... Je to zrejme castejsie, ako s nasimi srnkami.
Dostal som peknu izbicku a do 9:30 som o sebe nevedel...

So I am back again. I arrived safely to Oslo on Thursday at 21:30. The journey was fine, except from 3 hours of waiting on the Prague airport. The luggage did not get lost. Bryndza cheese and wine survived it. I was warmly welcomed at the airport by my hostmum Eva and hostbro Atle. The whole family speaks english, so I have no problem. We have been getting on together really well so far. They are really kind people. And I forgot to mention the dog Yatzie. She is running like wild the whole day and then in the evening, when we watch TV, she lies under the table in the most bizarre positions:-) She was lying so long without movement, that I thought she was dead.
The way to Trysil took about 2 hours. It is a nice touristic city with not so much traffic. The nearest town called Elverum is 70 km away. Between it and Trysil is only forest. It reminds me the northamerican towns from the films. The houses are built mostly from wood. I even saw a moose on the way here.:-) There are many of them here and that is the problem. That night a driver was killed by crashing into the moose. ..
I got a nice small room and I did not know anything about myself until 9:30 next morning

Rodina a mesto--- The family and town

Rodina vyzera byt uplne super. Zacali si so mnou hned mailovat, aby sme sa uz trocha poznali, kym sa uvidime.
Ako som uz spomenul, ziju v mestecku Trysil, ktore je asi 2 hodiny severne od Osla v kraji Hedmark blizko pri svedskych hraniciach. Je to najvacsie lyziarske stredisko v Norsku s asi 30 vlekmi a 70 km zjazdoviek. Je obklopene lesmi a horami. Ten kopec nad mestom ma asi len okolo 1000 m, ale vyzera to tam na dobru lyzovacku. Uz sa tesim ked napadne sneh. Ale v podstate je to jedno, lebo dovtedy si budem moct este zahrat tenis a golf. Ceny golfu su tam asi o polovicu lacnejsie ako na Slovensku a moja hostmum robi vo firme, ktora stoji za vsetkym co sa tyka cestovneho ruchu v Trysile, takze mi moze vybavit este lepsiu cenu:-) Ak chcete vediet viac, chodte na www.visitnorway.com a dajte si vyhladavat Trysil, alebo rovno na www.trysil.com. Manzelia John a Eva. John je ucitel na ZS. Zrejme to maju ako u nas, lebo uci vselico mozne. Eva pracuje ako sekretarka vo firme, o ktorej som vam uz hovoril. Maju 13rocneho syna - Atle - a 18rocnu dceru - Hilde -. S nou vsak velmi nebudem, lebo zachvilu odlieta na tyzden do Grecka s priatelom a potom odchadza na rok do USA studovat na strednu. Co sa tyka zalub, vyzera to, ze mame zopar veci spolocnych. Eva a Atle zacali s golfom, takze dufam, ze budu veeeela trenovat, aby som tam nechodil sam:-) Taktiez radi lyzuju a pocuvaju hudbu. Medzi zalubami bolo aj polovnictvo a rybarcenie. Dam vam vediet ako bolo Mato s Jozom:-) Len dufam, ze ma neprinutia strielat srnky :-(.
To je vsetko co vam mozem zatial povedat. Odlietam vo stvrtok z BA 14:25 a snad dorazim stastne do Oslo.
Buduci vikend sa asi ozvem a v pondelok mi uz zacina skola.

The family seems to be great! We have already started mailing each other to get to know each other before we meet. As I have already mentioned, they live in a small town called Trysil, 2 hours north of Oslo, in the Hedmark county near to swedish borders. It is the biggest norwegian ski resort with 30 lifts and 70 km of ski slopes. The peak of the hill overlooking the town is only about 1000 m high but in spite of it, it looks to be great for skiing. I am already looking forward to the first snow. Actually, I do not really care because to that point I can play tennis or golf. The green fee is half a price you would pay in Slovakia and my hostmum works in a company, which is coordinating the tourism in Trysil, so she can arrange some discounts for me:-) If you want to know more about Trysil go to www.visitnorway.com and search for Trysil or simply visit www.trysil.com. John and his spouse Eva. John is a teacher and works for an elementary school, where he teaches almost everything. Eva works as a secretary for the company I have just been writing about. They have a 13years old son -Atle- and 18years old daughter-Hilde-. I will not have time to get to know her because she is flying with her boyfriend to Greece and after returning she is going to study in the US at a high school for a year.
Concerning their hobbies, it looks like we have lots in common. Eva and Atle have taken up golf recently so I hope they will practice a lot. I do not want to go playing alone:-). They love skiing and listening to music as well.
There are also hunting and fishing among the hobbies. I just hope I will not be forced to shoot one of those cute does:-(.
That is all I can say to you for now. I am departing from BA at 14:25 on Thursday and I hope I will make it safely to Oslo. I hope I will write something next weekend and on Monday my school year is starting.

Norsky jazyk --- The norwegian language

Okrem nakupovania niektorych nevyhnutnych veci a pisania vsetkeho, co potrebujem, na listocek, je sucastou priprav aj studium jazyka. Nakupil som si cesko-norsky slovnik, prirucku s vyrazmi pre turistov a cesku ucebnicu norstiny pre samoukov s 2 CD. S prekvapenim som zistil, ze norstina nie je az tak tazka. Gramatika podobna tej nemeckej, slovicka su zmeska anglictiny, nemciny a francuzstiny ( kjøpe - shop - nakupovat, forstå - verstehen - rozumiet) a trochu aj slovenciny :-) (akkurat). Najhorsie je zvyknut si na vyslovnost...
Norstina patri do skupiny severogermanskych jazykov. 1000 rokov dozadu sa v celej Skandinavii a na Islande hovorilo rovnako. No v priebehu nasledujucich 300 rokov sa vyvynuli norstina, svedstina a danstina, ktore sa zjednodusili oproti starosevercine. Preto sa aj dnes tieto narody dokazu dorozumiet. Maju to nieco take, ako my s cestinou. Norstina sa deli na dva druhy: bokmål a nynorsk. Bokmål znamena nieco ako ,knizny jazyk,. Pouziva ho asi 85% obyvatelstva, vratane medii. Nynorsk znamena v preklade ,nova norstina,. Je ovela mladsia ako bokmål. Hoci boli uz mnohe pokusy o zjednotenie tychto 2 jazykov, zostavaju zatial obe formy rovnopravne. Na jazyk mala velky vplyv spolocna unia s Danskom, ktora trvala viac ako 400 rokov. Pocas tohto obdobia sa pouzivala hlavne danstina a norstina sa postupne vytracala. Snaha o vytvorenie vlastneho spisovneho jazyka zacala az rokom 1814. Bokmål pouzivali vzdelani mestania a bol odvodeni z danstiny, zatial co nynorsk mal za zaklad norske dialekty. 1892 boli obe formy zrovnopravnene a kazda obec si mohla slobodne vybrat, co dodnes brani zjednoteniu. Asi 20 000 obyvatelov su Laponci, ktorych jazyk je taktiez rovnopravny s norstinou a ziaci v laponskych okresoch sa v nom mozu ucit.

As a part of my preparation for the journey is, beside buying necessary things and putting down everything I need on the scrap of paper, learning Norwegian. I have bought a dictionary, a book with useful expressions for tourists and a student book with grammar and excercises. I was surprised, when I found out, that Norwegian language is not so difficult to learn. Grammar like the german one, the vocabulary is a mixture of altered english,german and french words ( kjøpe - shop, forstå - verstehen - understand) and even of slovak words :-) (akkurat - akurát - right now). But it is hard to get used to the pronounciation...
Norwegian language is part of the northgermanic languages. 1000 years ago was only one language spoken in the whole Scandinavia and on Iceland. However, throughout next 300 years Norwegian, Swedish and Danish were developed. They were simplified in comparison to oldnordic language and that is the reason why these nations have no problems to understand each other. It is like Slovak and Czech. There are two kinds of Norwegian: bokmål a nynorsk. Bokmål means something like ,the langauge in the books,. 85% of the population speak it. It is an administrational language. Nynorsk means literally , the new norse language,. It is younger than bokmål. There were many attempts of unifying these two kinds but so far unsuccesful.
The great influence on Norwegian had The Union with Denmark, which lasted almost 500 years. The admin language was Danish and Norwegian was gradually extincting. First in 1814 began attempts to compose literary norwegian language. Bokmål was used by educated townsmen, whereas nynorsk was based on norwegian dialects. 1892 were both forms equalized and every city and town was free to choose between them. And that hinders the unification. Approximately 20 000 inhabitants are Laplanders, whose language is also equal to Norwegian. And in lapp counties they can be educated in their language at schools.

Asi po sedemmesacnom cakani, ci pojdem do Norska, Svedska, Finska alebo Holandska, som sa konecne dockal. Minuly piatok mi dosiel list od agentury. Hoci som ako pozadovanu krajinu oznacil Norsko a do programu som sa prihlasil uz v decembri, clovek nikdy nevie, kde nakoniec skonci. Nastastie to vyslo. A tak mi agentura zajednala letenku na 16.8. - Bratislava-Praha-Oslo. A pripravy sa mohli zacat...

After 7 months of waiting, whether I end up in Norway, Sweden, Finnland or Netherlands, I recieved the letter from my agency last friday. In spite of choosing Norway as a destination in my application form and sending it already in December, you never know where you can end up. Fortunately it is Norway. My agency booked me the flying ticket on the 16.8. - Bratislava-Praha-Oslo. And I could start preparing myself for the journey...
